The Summer Kick Off Yacht Rally event hosted by Grand Harbour Marina in Malta is the largest annual event targeted at pontoon berth holders and their yachts ranging from 8m to 25m.
This now yearly event is organised especially Grand Harbour Marina’s valued berth holders to give them a chance to meet and compete, to encourage them to socialise and discuss their plans for the season.
Grand Harbour Marina in Malta forms part of the prestigious Camper & Nicholsons Marinas International collection. The marina attracts high net worth individuals from all over Europe who choose to berth there because of its overall quality, its exquisite location within a UNESCO World Heritage site and the unbeatable service they receive from the marina team.

The Summer Kick Off Yacht Rally event at Grand Harbour Marina was sponsored by BUPA and GVZH Advocates, which enabled the marina to boost the profile and quality of the event. It also gave berth holders the opportunity to make new contacts and discuss various business initiatives in an informal and enjoyable setting.
This year all vessels participating were all sail yachts ranging in variety of lengths and had as many as a dozen yachts participating namely: Isabella, Ziffa, Iggle Piggle, Rum & Pera, Pappa Giorgio, Alize, Agnes, Rewind, Sailing Buddy, Xanthippe, Emerald and Maureen.
All yachts headed out of the Grand Harbour together at 9:30am and cruised up the east coast towards Little Armier on the north-most point of the island. On arrival yachts anchored directly in front of Baia Beach Club where they were met by our Grand Harbour Marina tender.
Once on land at the Beach Club area, visitors were met with by a welcome glass of Whispering Angel Rose provided by our partners No12 Fines Wines & Provisions.
This was the first opportunity for berth holders to socialise and meet the sponsors, before heading upstairs to the terrace to enjoy a delicious, complimentary three course lunch accompanied by Donnafugata wines and soft summer tunes.

The success of this event can be put down to all who participated and look forward to developing this Rally into a well talked about yearly event that berth holders plan their summer yachting schedule around.
Based on last years success, Grand Harbour Marina’s ‘Summer Kick Off Yacht Rally’ has now established itself in the Med’s racing calendar, it will take place each year on the first Friday of June.
